By car:

If you are coming via Autobahn A3 (from Nuremberg or Passau), take the exit “Universität/Klinikum”, follow the signs to “Universität”.
If you come via Autobahn A 93, please continue towards the intersection “Autobahnkreuz Regensburg” and change to A3, direction Passau/Linz/Regensburg Ost.
By train:
Exit the station building towards the city centre. As you exit, you’ll see a small park and a yellow church across the street, to your right. Cross the street, enter the park and pass the little yellow church. The bus stop for buses to the University is at the corner to your right, immediately at the beginning of the bridge (“Galgenberger Brücke”).
Either take:
a) bus number 6, direction “Universität/Klinikum”. Get off at the stop “Universität”
b) bus number 11, direction “Universität/ Burgweinting/Hermann-Höcherl-Strasse”. Get off at the stop “Universitaet”.
By plane:
There is no airport in Regensburg. The closest one is Munich Airport but you can also fly to Nuremberg or Frankfurt. Trains leave regularly from all the latter airports to Regensburg. At www.bahn.de you will find schedules, connections and prices.
If you arrive at Munich Airport, there are two ways to get to Regensburg:
1) Shuttle service Airportliner
There is a commercial shuttle service running from Munich Airport to Regensburg. Costs: EUR 42. Advance booking necessary! Have the shuttle drop you at the bus stop “Universität”.
2) Bus and train to Regensburg:
If you take the train from the Munich airport to Regensburg, you do not need to go to the central train station in Munich. Take bus 635 in front of the airport’s central area (Z) to the train station in Freising (the trip takes approximately 20 minutes) and change here to a train to Regensburg. All trains running between Munich and Regensburg stop at Freising (see www.bahn.de). Costs for train and bus are about EUR 25. A taxi from Regensburg train station to the university costs about EUR 10.
